I am here for Friends

About Me

HOO HOO! HOW YOU ALL DOIN'?
For those of you who have found your way here thru the Whitesnake UK website, I don't need to tell you what I do.But for those of you that didn't...
GO CHECK OUT WWW.WHITESNAKEUK.COM THEN COME BACK 'N' SAY HI!!!
Where to begin? Now, let me see....
As a teenager I regularly attended a residential arts centre - Ingestre Hall, Nr.Rugeley, Staffs. There I studied drama at first, until one day a mate said his band was looking for a bass player, and so...
The band was called The Novelty Value, and we played original Indie/pop music written by our guitarist singer, Busby. He is still going strong (check out The Busby Babes - they're a great band!)
However, all good things must come to an end,and I moved from bass into singing with the ill-fated Turtle Z, a band featuring Tony, the drummer from The Novs. However, the band was tragically shortlived and eventually I answered an ad for a band called Nevada Smith who's influences were Thin Lizzy, UFO, Tesla...
After a few changes of line-up, the now-titled Rock Bottom enjoyed lots of local success playing Classic Rock at small venues such as The Littleton,Walsall, The Nags Head,Nuneaton and even The original Robin Hood R 'n' B Club in Merry Hill.
However, I got restless again, so left Rock Bottom and joined a band based in the Hednesford region called Lakey. Again, it was classic rock on the menu, although this time it was mixed with a side order of grunge/punk and rock 'n' roll. I have to say I really enjoyed my time with these guys, culminating with a new year's eve fancy dress gig at The Hen House,Hednesford, where the band all dressed as pirates.
Then, one day in spring 2005, I got a call from an old friend, Gary Reece, who had drummed with me in an earlier incarnation of Rock Bottom, asking if I fancied auditioning for a newly-formed Whitesnake tribute. I think it only took the time for him to ask the question for me to decide - "Yeah,Baby!" The rest, as they say, is history.......
Throughout my music "career", I have also, at various times, teamed up with my two best buddies Brocko 'n' Rooster, to put on quite a few charity gigs as The Lizards, playing a right old mixture of crowd friendly covers. We only get to do this "once in a blue moon" as they say, but even though we don't get paid for it, we just love getting up on stage and having a blast for a good cause!!
Let's cut to the chase here. I love my music, I love my drink and I LURVE the laydeez!!!
I'm a peace lovin' man, who likes to have a good time while not rockin' the boat TOO much!
If I had a dream,it would be to wake up in a treehouse in Kenya on safari with the prospect of seeing so many wonderful species of animals. (oh yeah, that and being in a lap dancing bar - just me and a SUBMISSIVE jessica alba!!!) .Of course, dreams tend to change as we broaden our horizons,so this paragraph will probably change on a regular basis!
