Shaun Herron - Art & Design Muses guide us to the messages KNOW THYSELF. NOTHING IN EXCESS - displayed on the entranceways to the Temple of Apollo and the oracle Pythia in ancient Delphi.Going with natures flow; I pluck ideas from the Ether and put a few back in. Aspiring to harmony and balance in my art and my pursuits. Work hard. Play hard. Look beyond Babylon.It is mainly my landscape paintings that get exhibited and sold. The more esoteric paintings are done foremost for my own gratification. Design is the bread and butter.

My Interests

The inter-acting oscillations of frequencies, observations and imagination. Travel, nature, board/wave surfing (ie.proper surfing!), aikido, jujitsu, shinkendo (samurai sword training) and musical exploration. Ancient greek mythology and new additions to history. Taoism and Zen. Induced enhanced escapism and dancing also have there place.

Variety is the spice of life...whatever shuffles the mind or feet...

Movies:

Movies by Alfred Hitchcock, Sergio Leone, Jim Jarmisch, the Coen Brothers, George Lucas, Ron Fricke, Quentin Tarantino, Stephen Jackson, Akira Kurosawa, and animation of Hiyo Miyazaki.

Television:

Mostly it is background noise but sometimes it grabs attention.

Books:

Much history and historical fiction, natural history, travel-logs and humour. Fav writers: Herman Hesse, Paulo Coehlo, Neal Stephenson, Tom Robbins and Terry Pratchett.
