Influences: Man, everything you listen to and like influences you, even if you don't sound like it. From what I listened to when I was a kid to some late greats to whats playing now. When I was a kid I liked things such as Michael Jackson, the Monkees, the sound track from Grease, No Doubt, Pink Floyd. I think the first cd I ever owned was Celine Dion and my dad gave it to me. The first cd I ever bought for myself was Hanson (shame! and a few more shames to follow that! :-P) Growing up in church the songs you sing and come to love has a great influence on you. NZ music: OP Shop, Brooke Fraser, Blair Giles, Mumsdollar, Shooting Stars, Eight, Evermore, Goldenhorse... To name a heap of others. Sixpence None the Richer, Switchfoot, Foo fighters, John Mayer, U2, Coldplay lot's of random stuff people don't know of but if you do... Mae, Cool Hand Luke, Bleach.... Then there's the classic heroes of songwritting that we must acknowledge, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkle, Sting, The Beach Boys... That's the first time I have ever had to write about that, so I'm sure I will manage to refine it.
