At the age of 17, John Paul Carroll picked up a guitar and began to play anything he could with a resolve he could not summon to apply to things like school, and work. 6 years (and a music performance diploma) later, with an extensive catalogue of original songs and a rapidly growing fanbase, John Paul is beginning to force his way into the consciousness of music culture - and he'll do it by milimetres if he has to.
His music is constructed in an effort to blend agression with beauty, powerful guitar passages interspliced with heartfelt, emotive vocals and lyrics that exhibit John Paul's every doubt and affirmation for all to see.
While the recording process has been touch and go from the start, 2007 has been a landmark year by all accounts for John Paul; His recording technique, songwriting and vocal ability have simultaneously reached a stage that has all the right people's heads turning and ears pricking up.
