The March Assembly

some assembly is definitely required

About Me

In the sweltering heat of Austin, TX, in a record store where he worked, Daniel met Apollo over a pile of rock records. Apparently there was some debate over who had first dibs. Clearly the perfect grounds for musical discussion and exchange, it wasn't long before the two formed bedroom-rock band Pixels to Press. They played with various instrumentation, a variety of band members, and with varied success before finally disbanding in the fall of 2001. Five years went by and as fate would have it, the two reunited nearly 2500 miles from Austin. After a handful of other projects, they decided it was high time to crack open a bottle or two, dust off some old songs and write a few new ones. And by the remaining days of 2006 Apollo and Daniel had amassed a slew of new rock songs. Nearly complete, the duo needed only to trip over bassist, Tony Jacobs and The March Assembly was complete. In February 2007, The Assembly came out from the basement, poked their heads outside, and breathed in the coming spring. Seattle's musical weather was warmer than they anticipated as they embarked on their crime-fighting career. Playing under the influences 60s soul, 70s punk, 80s new wave, 90s indie-stuff, and occasionally just playing under the influence, The March Assembly combine a healthy blend of power-pop sensibilities, spiky guitar melodies, danceable drum beats, mathematical bass lines, and enough hooks to reel in a Great White. This high energy power-trio has rocked the Seattle stages of The Sunset Tavern, The High Dive, The Mars Bar, Nectar, The Rendezvous and may well be assembling at your doorstep in the not to distant future. Look out.
