I've been landscaping...I love it because I love working outside. I like to work hard, thinking, digging holes, being with plants and insects...and at the end of the day I love that I can stand back and see the fruits of my labor. Been teaching part time as well. The kids are amazing and curious all the time. They are vulnerable and not yet self-conscious...they teach me a lot.I still collect things, mostly various detritous I find in nature, but I also have been known to dumpster dive and I can't resist garage sales. Lately I've been seeking out natural materials for basket-making and other weaving projects. Since Winter is around the corner it's time to start crocheting hats and scarves again!I would like to take a natural building course and apply my sculptural sensibilities to new ideas in construction. Must save money for that!!! Currently I am working on a natural (and primitive) shelter on my friend's property...what a great way to learn, by playing!
