Tea and Honey, Waffles and Wine. And a good book on the side.
Off the top of my head, there are really only three people that I would love to meet and have a conversation with over a nice breakfast of strawberry waffles and wine:Tori Amos, Mary Magdalene, and Jesus.
Always Tori Amos, and then sometimes it could be The Beatles, The Doors, My Chemical Romance, The Cure, Evanescene, Foo Fighters, Nivana, Linkin Park, Metallica, NIN, Offspring, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Queen, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Tool, Van Halen, Mozart, Tchaikovsky (and other classical pieces. But always Tori Amos.
My favorite movies? Hmmm... anything with really good characters and a strong sense of story. I love the emotions and the fantasy of "The Abyss". It is like a fairy tale in modern times. "The Labryinth", "The Muppet Movie", "Muppet Christmas Carol", umm..." Phantom of the Opera, love the darkness that can arise from that movie. The Princess Bride. Fight Club if I'm in a ferocious mood. Star wars and Spiderman (1,2, and 3) kick ass... and I know there are many, many more out there... I just cannot think of them all.
Yes, Yes. It's coming. Good. There is Fullmetal Alchemist, South Park, Heroes, (Adira can't type today), Battlestar Gallatica (maybe the weather is getting in my way), Blue Dragon (she knows it a video game, but hey that's okay), Final Fantasy (and where is she taking us now? Where is she taking us now?)
My favorite genres: Mythology, Fantasy, Mystery.Stories that have infused themselves into my being include: Stardust, Little Red Ridding Hood, Jane Eyre, The Story of O, The Awakening, Ten Little Indians, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (and the Hobbit), Alice in Wonderland, an Untitled Christmas Story about a boy, his pixie friend, and Santa Claus; and Where the Wild Things Are.
There have been certain souls, past and present who have woven their thread through my body, and have burned their essence onto my spirit. You know who you are, and I thank you.
