About Me

Voted "Best Male Hard Rock/Metal Drummer" 2006- All Access Magazine
"It's like my pants - A little hard to squeeze it all in!" (to borrow a line from David Lee Roth)...Only, in My case, it's because I've got such a big Arse!
Referred to as "A Most Versatile Musician" by 'All Access Magazine's Debra Stocker, & "The Monster Of Rock" by Freedom Studio's Thomas LeBlanc.
I am a Lover and Listener of music, In the past six years have been involved in some 20 projects, (or more...Who's counting?)
I've played Drums in .. "The Led" tribute to Led Zeppelin- in Vegas, & L.A., Founded, & drum for "Burnin' Sky" most awesome tribute to Bad Company, feat. the one of best voices around the L.A. scene, Mr. Chris Post, Check it out !
I founded & play drums for "Diary Of Ozz" - Ozzy Tribute. Other tributes I've been involved with, include Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Heart, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple/Rainbow, Scorpions, Metallica, and Bad Company. I also have been in & out of U.F.O. tributes with various line-ups playing Keyboards, rhythm Guitar, & backing vox. I grew-up around a piano, & have a pretty 'Keen' musical 'ear'. Some of the first songs I self-taught myself as a child, include "Long As I Can See The Light" by C.C.R., "The Entertainer", theme from "The Sting, Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter", & U.F.O.'s "Love To Love" It was a great challenge to learn & play U.F.O.'s man behind the scene, Paul Raymond's role, (Keyboards/Rhy. Guitar/backing vox.)that breaks the monotony of just playing drums, & gives me a refreshing change of pace, that I very much enjoy. Check-out the write-up from All Access Magazine, (CLICK HERE) I've also played keyboards for "The Hollywood Allstars" with Chas West, Carlos Carvaso, Alan Krigger, & Jimmy Bain! also, Greenday tribute "American Idiot" at The Key Club in Hollywood, also (otherwise), all-female Led Zeppelin tribute "Moby Chick", & have sat-in (DRUMS)with The Mitch Perry band with Chas West of Bonham fame, Damage, Inc. (Metallica), Flying High Again (Ozzy/Rhoads trib), "Das Ãœndercovers", & The Red Muffs, local cover bands
Besides tributes, I've played in several original, & 'Cover' projects, Including, but not limited to: El Erin's "Siddhartha", "MacBeth" with Jeff Hanna, & Mike Capaldi, "Scarlet Garden" with Michael John Smith (Smitty), & the late, great Richard Parico, REST IN PEACE Good Buddy! & "Meat-Piston" with Duncan McCockiner, Howie Lichtenfelter, Craven Moorehead, & Miles O'Toole. I'm currently busy playing Drums with "Burning Sky" tribute to Bad Company, & S.T.P. tribute "Stone Temple Pirates", Cover band "Platinum Time Capsule" with the great(s) Phil Wolfe, (Keys from Impelliteri, & Wasp), Iain Ashley Hersey (guit), Maria Glass (Vox), & Thomas LeBlanc (Bass), occasionally resurrect elements of my notorious, and STILL controversial Ozzy tribute, "Diary Of Ozz" just for a little fun, to rest, assured, with all the Ozzy tributes 'popping-in'(and out of the scene), that I still OWN the Throne, when it comes to the subject of OZZY Drums! On the back-burner lives the formation of "Jesus Christ - Rock Superstar", a Rock Opera, of which I am taking-on the role as "Musical Director", an all-new tribute to U.F.O./ Michael Schenker that will dwarf ALL others, and last, but not least, hold-on to your hat, a "Missing Persons" tribute with a FANTASTIC Dale Bozzio!
I Love to socialize, & party! ...insist on having a good time, I live in my studio most of the time, breathe & Bleed music, play in as many band projects as I can almost handle, tell it like it is, and yes, I bring Beer to practice! NOT a big fan of P.M.S. (Permanent Menstrual Syndrom), won't allow myself to be manipulated by control-freaks.
...and I just keep on rollin' on with praise for the Lord above"
Special Thanks go to Stephanie Leigh, & Thomas LeBlanc for the Zildjian endorsements, also, Thomas for the "Midnight Rhodes Repair Services". Ruben Aguirre, for unsurpassed Amp / electronics maintenance, & repair, Joe Calzone, (Pres. Anvil Cases), & Garrison at Drum Workshop for the "favors"

My Interests

****-CLUBBING-**** Love to play and watch others perform Live Music.

I'd like to meet:

Paul Rodgers.

Music:

Love most styles, favorite stuff is Classic 70's Pre-Metal Rock i.e. Sabbath, Rainbow, Zeppelin, Bad Company, Foriegner, U.F.O., Jethro Tull, Yes, Jeff Beck, Dregs, Rush, Kansas, Van Halen (Prior to Eddie's sex change)David Lee Roth is the greatest entertainer since Frank Sinatra! I thought the Van Hagar era was O.K., & the album with Gary Cherone was a disgrace to the Van Halen name! I think Eddie should muster-up a set of nads, & give the public what it Really wants... another (REAL) Van Halen album/tour with Diamond Dave!! ...(UPDATE: AND Michael Anthony!!!!!)
Also love Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Judas Priest. The 80's were a blast, ((I think!)) Yngwie still rules in my book, LOVE shred! Racer-X, & Guitar/Bass Acrobatics - Mr. Big style.
90's fav's include S.T.P., Alice In Chains,& Foo Fighters, Sponge, Bush, Magnificent Bastards, . Fusion fascinates me, such as Dixie Dregs, Brand X, Scott Henderson (Tribal Tech),All of Terry Bozzio's projects, (Check-out Bozzio-Levin-Stevens "Black Light Syndrome" with (Chapman Stick)Tony Levin(King Krimson) - and Steve Stevens from Billy Idol fame). Another timeless, favorite album of mine is "Bill Bruford - One Of A Kind". Favorite Blues players include Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robert Cray, & Buddy Guy, & Otis Rush. Favorite drummers of mine include (At early age)Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Louie Belson, Jack Sperling, Harold Jones(Count Basie). What made me decide that "I'm going to play the drums, REALLY F_cking good!" ??? When I was 6-7 yrs old, & first heard stuff like "I'm A Man" by Chicago, Iron Butterfly "In A Gada Da Vida", Nilsson, Steppenwolf, & Three-Dog Night, I faked the "Air Drums", & just 'got-off' on that, then came my exposure to (Main influences)John Bonham, Ian Paice, Bill Ward, Neil Peart, Bill Bruford,& Cozy Powell. When the 80s came around, (about the time I was 18, & was getting pretty f_ing good), I think my favorite (currently popular)drummer would HAVE to be "Wild" Mick Brown from Dokken. To this day, He's STILL kicking holy-ass with "Uncle" Ted Nugent, & is without a doubt, one of the funnest drummers to watch play, bar-none. He's just cool as can be, having a blast, & in total control, hard as a rock, & after 20 F_ing years, Still one of my top 5! Other drummers that contributed to what "moulded" me, include Scott Travis, Vinnie Appice, Stewart Copeland, Simon Phillips, Carl Palmer, Steve Gadd, & Phil Collins. Other drummers who's styles I love, include Rod Morgenstern, Chris Slade, Kenny Arnoff, Mike Portnoy, Steve Smith, Mike Terrana, Deen Castronovo, Virgil Donati, Thomas Lang, Dennis Chambers, and the great player & teacher Glen Sobel.
