****-CLUBBING-**** Love to play and watch others perform Live Music.
Paul Rodgers.
Love most styles, favorite stuff is Classic 70's Pre-Metal Rock i.e. Sabbath, Rainbow, Zeppelin, Bad Company, Foriegner, U.F.O., Jethro Tull, Yes, Jeff Beck, Dregs, Rush, Kansas, Van Halen (Prior to Eddie's sex change)David Lee Roth is the greatest entertainer since Frank Sinatra! I thought the Van Hagar era was O.K., & the album with Gary Cherone was a disgrace to the Van Halen name! I think Eddie should muster-up a set of nads, & give the public what it Really wants... another (REAL) Van Halen album/tour with Diamond Dave!! ...(UPDATE: AND Michael Anthony!!!!!)
Also love Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Judas Priest. The 80's were a blast, ((I think!)) Yngwie still rules in my book, LOVE shred! Racer-X, & Guitar/Bass Acrobatics - Mr. Big style.
90's fav's include S.T.P., Alice In Chains,& Foo Fighters, Sponge, Bush, Magnificent Bastards, .
Fusion fascinates me, such as Dixie Dregs, Brand X, Scott Henderson (Tribal Tech),All of Terry Bozzio's projects, (Check-out Bozzio-Levin-Stevens "Black Light Syndrome" with (Chapman Stick)Tony Levin(King Krimson) - and Steve Stevens from Billy Idol fame). Another timeless, favorite album of mine is "Bill Bruford - One Of A Kind".
Favorite Blues players include Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robert Cray, & Buddy Guy, & Otis Rush.
Favorite drummers of mine include (At early age)Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Louie Belson, Jack Sperling, Harold Jones(Count Basie). What made me decide that "I'm going to play the drums, REALLY F_cking good!" ???
When I was 6-7 yrs old, & first heard stuff like "I'm A Man" by Chicago, Iron Butterfly "In A Gada Da Vida", Nilsson, Steppenwolf, & Three-Dog Night, I faked the "Air Drums", & just 'got-off' on that, then came my exposure to (Main influences)John Bonham, Ian Paice, Bill Ward, Neil Peart, Bill Bruford,& Cozy Powell. When the 80s came around, (about the time I was 18, & was getting pretty f_ing good), I think my favorite (currently popular)drummer would HAVE to be "Wild" Mick Brown from Dokken. To this day, He's STILL kicking holy-ass with "Uncle" Ted Nugent, & is without a doubt, one of the funnest drummers to watch play, bar-none. He's just cool as can be, having a blast, & in total control, hard as a rock, & after 20 F_ing years, Still one of my top 5! Other drummers that contributed to what "moulded" me, include Scott Travis, Vinnie Appice, Stewart Copeland, Simon Phillips, Carl Palmer, Steve Gadd, & Phil Collins. Other drummers who's styles I love, include Rod Morgenstern, Chris Slade, Kenny Arnoff, Mike Portnoy, Steve Smith, Mike Terrana, Deen Castronovo, Virgil Donati, Thomas Lang, Dennis Chambers, and the great player & teacher Glen Sobel.
Jesus Christ Superstar - Rock Opera
Much prefer listening to some great music.
Once again...
1st & foremost, the late Edward B. Koch II, my Father, mentor, and musical genius of my time, & my sisters, Kathy & Leslie, for for playing the role of Mom during my younger years, (True) Friends, professional associates (Bartenders), and Band Mates (the ones that have the strength, & courage to "Hang In There", and 'tough-it-out', & attempt to match my level of interest).
