Stone Temple Pirates is a group of individuals who have come together to form the Premier Tribute act to STP.
Consisting of members of many successful tribute bands of recent, including: Just Like Priest, Diary Of OZZ, Junkhead, Burning Sky, Dirty White Boy, Domination 101, to name a few…
This line-up has the experience, talent, professional stage presence, and what it takes to win over every crowd.
At our shows, the response has been more than positive.
Our set list consists of Hit after Hit songs from one of the 90’s
most influential bands- Stone Temple Pilots.
Bob Koch & Thomas Leblanc make up the backbone of the band, on the drums & bass. Both come from musical families,
Bob’s Father (Eddie Koch), wrote & collaborated with the legend George Gershwin, and had a long career as a composer and arranger. Bob’s early influences, especially John Bonham, are clearly present in his performances.
Thomas’ Father (Leo LeBlanc), on the Pedal Steel Guitar, has 40 years of album credits, from Donny & Marie to The Wallflowers.
Thomas and Bob’s lifelong exposure to music is apparent in their playing, and they seem to be born for the stage.
John Hollenberg, Guitarist of the band, has been playing in bands in L.A. since age 14. He has worked with 40+ projects since the old days of the Country Club in Reseda, and the Coconut Teaser in Hollywood. As a guitarist with and hundreds of hours of stage & studio experience, his influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Yngwie Malmsteen, to the latest trends, seem to be second nature for him.
Matt Boehm, formerly of the original hard rock group Grey Haven, is the lead singer, and also plays guitar in the project. His impeccable ear is apparent when you hear him sing, as well as when he plays his guitar. A perfectionist by nature, he portrays the vocal qualities of Scott Weiland so accurately, many have said we sound as good as the real thing.
