Seeking to rid ourselves of all desires is just another desire.

About Me

Ewige Blumenkraft!
"How you act when you're alone affects the rest of your life."
-Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
I am allegedly a human being, but I really think I am just a figment in someone's imagination. I have howled at the moon and danced in circle with witches. I am bold enough to let myself love forces of nature. Meditation is not something to do while sitting, it's a complete acceptance of the flavor life has. Lha Gyal Lo!
Beings are numberless; I vow to awaken with them. Delusions are inexhaustible; I vow to end them. Dharma gates are boundless; I vow to enter them. Buddha's way is unsurpassable; I vow to become it.
"When the true nature of every event is recognized, even the most seemingly mundane moment will hold such great beauty that it will shatter the mind."
-Prem Pranama
Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum!
A Candle Loses Nothing By Lighting Another Candle
-Erin Majors
"And you who seek to know Me,
know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not, unless you know the mystery:
for if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without.
For behold, I have been with you from the beginning,
and I am that which is attained at the end of desire."

Rinneadh Aisling Dúinn
i ndorchacht an éadóchais rinneadh aisling dúinn.
lasamar solas an dóchais.
agus níor múchadh é.
i bhfásach an lagmhisinigh rinneadh aisling dúinn.
chuireamar crann na crógachta.
agus tháinig bláth air.
i ngeimhreadh na daoirse rinneadh aisling dúinn.
mheileamar sneachta na táimhe.
agus rith abhann na hathbheochana as.
chuireamar ár n-aisling ag snámh mar eala ar an abhainn.
rinneadh fírinne den aisling.
rinneadh samhradh den gheimhreadh.
rinneadh saoirse den daoirse.
agus d'fhágamar agaibhse mar oidhreacht í.
a ghlúnta na saoirse cuimhnígí orainne, glúnta na haislinge…

I'd like to meet:

You, possibly.

Buddhists, meditators, artists, free thinkers, neophiles, non-sectarians, dharma practitioners, agents of spontaneous laughter, Nyingmapas for Dzogchen chats, vajra sisters and brothers for mandala generation, poets for conspiratorial winks, and other goodies. You must live to break up the fragile egg shells of delusion, or at least enjoy doing it. Or, if that is impossible, you must live to be happy.

I have found my "partner." Our activities will include but not be limited to: giggling, sitting on random wicker chairs in alleys, enjoying sunrises together, things that make tingles and goosebumps, and coming up with silly things to either do or imagine doing. I love her.

Sentient beings only, please. If you are simply a conglomeration of media ideas and bits of personality gleamed from TV and magazines that tell you how to exist, then please don't contact me at all. Otherwise you will become a target of the Vajrayana Tantric Conspiracy.

Don't bother me if you are never impressed with anyone but yourself.

Bodhicitta: Spirit of Awakening

Movies:

Everything is Illuminated, Blood Diamond, Sweeny Todd and many others. I like too damned many. From world cinema to Hollywood Blockbusters and cheap action thrillers...horror films and zombie films are perennial favs. 300 was pretty sweet. So was Shoot 'Em Up.

Television:

I am addicted to CSI shows and "Lost," so what? (It's not like none of YOU have never watched "Lost, now is it?) I also like Boston Legal because of "Denny Crane." Heh. Oh, and I got back into "24" again recently...I know it's formulaic and all, but come on...the suspense is perfect as Jack Bauer tries to save the world again and again.

Books:

"American Gods" and "Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman, "Pandora's Star" by Peter Hamilton, Terry Goodkind (The Sword of Truth series), Robert Jordan (The Wheel of Time), Terry Pratchett, C.J. Cherryh (the Foreigner series), Jeff Long ("The Descent" and "Year Zero"), Cat's Cradle (by you know who)...anything by Robert Thurman, "The End of Faith" by Sam Harris, Coelho's "Alchemist" (that was sweet!), Robert Anton Wilson (Illuminatus, Schroedinger's Cat. etc) and many others. Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, etc.

Heroes:

Siddhartha Gautama, Padmasambhava, Vajrayogini, Chenresik, Milarepa, Grainne Mhaol Ni Mhaille, Vercingetorix, Lama Jey Tsongkhapa, Cuchulainn, Buddhadasa, Socrates, Macha, HH Tenzin Gyatso the 14th Dalai Lama, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Jampa Tenzin, HH Dudjom Rinpoche, Hagbard Celine, Sogyal Rinpoche, Khandro Rinpoche, Khin Myin, the White Mouse, Yeshe Tsogyal, Diana, Mummu, Dionysos, Eris...but actually quite a lot of people and deities and uncategorizable "damned things," including all those who are guilty of thought crimes. Or anyone who refuses to be anything other or less than their true selves.
