Sirpa; drHelsinki, FinlandPekko, Jann and Sirpa returned to Finland in 2002 after having spent several colourful years in London. Gigs played in clubs together and separately had not stopped their fire for music from burning and in the early spring of 2004 things started happening in Helsinki. The story of The Jade started in March 2004, when Pekko, Jann and Mika Miguel got together at the band’s first rehearsals. Pekko was doing the vocals at the time, Jann played the bass and Mika Miguel stayed behind the keyboards until he stopped playing with the band in autumn 2005. Wille Rosen joined the crowd as a vocalist in May 2004 as it was clear that the chemistry between the band members was working great. Searching for a suitable drummer among male candidates stopped when it turned out that Sirpa’s playing rocked harder than theirs. The Jade’s first studio recording took place only four months later. Heatwave was released in January 2005. It was followed by an acoustic single with Bitter Life and Roseate Sky. Their electric versions can be heard among seven energetic tunes on a new minialbum Slow Motions on the Fast Lanes, which was released in November 2006.The Jade’s music is alternative rock with retro influences and with a touch of metal. The band members bring their personal touch in it. The Jade plays its music together for the love of it and they do what they do with passion. They want to give their best to their listeners and reach as many people as possible so that their music can be enjoyed everywhere in the [email protected]
