wandering in this place

About Me

Born and raised in the realm of music...I think I was put on this planet to do just that. My main squeeze band is Tristraum, but I also have a degree in music (pipe organ). Over the years I've delved into many styles and such, but am happily situated with doing electronic music at this moment! But, my first love is piano/vocal music, along with classical organ and such...but there are so many different styles of music, I like to experience them all.

Tune-in today. Broadcasting a wide spectrum of electro music.

My Interests

Playing, writing, creating, singing music. Watching movies. Gourmet cooking. A great glass of wine. Taking photos. Sunsets. Hot showers to wake me up in the morning. The smell of rain. My love to get his ars over here from the UK and my cat (RIP)

I'd like to meet:

"Wandering in this place as in a wilderness, No comfort have I nor yet assurance, Desolate of joy, repleat with sadnesse: Wherefore I may say, O deus, deus, Non est dolor, sicut dolor meus." ANONYMOUS

Music:

wow. lots. Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Vierne, Puig-Roget, Messiaen, Schumann, Schubert, Mozart, Britten, Ives, Weber, Shostakovich, Berlioz, Stravinsky, Shoenberg...(you get the idea, classical schtuff). oh, choral motets and such. Japan, David Sylvian, JBK, Sakamoto, Porcupine Tree, Skinny Puppy, Tom Waits, Cocteau Twins, Massive Attack, Dead Can Dance, TRISTRAUM (yay!), New Order, Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, Peter Murphy,Portishead, Joy Division, Assemblage 23, Kate Bush, Diamanda Galas, This Mortal Coil, The Cure, Jeff Buckley, Trance to the Sun, Tricky, Rain Tree Crow, Tea Party, Tear Garden, Steve Reich, Jazz, Dave Brubeck, Nine Inch Nails, Roxy Music, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, kitchy organ music or music in general.....the list goes on...Please check out the Tristraum myspace site.

Movies:

Indie, Period films, Cult, Ingmar Bergman (RIP) Foreign...anything that moves me. Kubrik.....he's the best (hmmmmmm) Most interesting one I watched recently was "2046" and I recommend it.

Books:

I like to read books about composers. Beethoven had a very messed up life and Hector Berlioz was kind of a nut as well...he also wrote reviews for music, it's interesting to read about how he hated Wagner's music, a hoot. But my favorite is Stravinksy. If anyone is interested in his music and just a bit of history itself...read about him. He knew some influencial people back then. Mann, Jung, C.S. Lewis, Dostoyevsky, Heinlein, Flaubert, Sexton, Thoreau, Austen, Bronte, Shakespeare, King, trashy novels here and there. Gotta lighten it up once in a while. I also like music scores...would collect more if I had the $.
