BLACK WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA

BLACK WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA mission is to build a community of writers by providing on-going workshops, seminars and conferences. Speakers will be available to educate Black writers on all aspects of writing. It is a forum for Black writers to find their voice through public presentation of their work. Our group meetings will take place in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Connecticut and Los Angeles once a month. This guild is open to writers, independent publishers, editors, authors & poets.Upcoming writers and current authors will be discussing everything from writing your first draft to publishing your first book. Fiction and non-fiction writing, publishing, marketing and distribution of published works will be the some of the topics of our monthly discussions. Learn from others on how to self-publish and market your book to the masses. Learn ways to getting your book in major bookstores. Learn the ABC's of self-publishing your book. Guest speakers of literary works will be invited to present at meetings.The purpose of this organization is for writers, authors, independent publishers, agents, editors, poets, and screenwriters to network and support one another literary works.
