Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI, the stout, long haired Scott L. became interested in the paranormal as a young child when he bought his first book 'Haunted Houses' by Larry Kettelkamp at a garage sale for $.25. Intrigued and frightened by this book, Scott L. developed an adolescent interest in the paranormal that rooted itself firmly into the little boys mind through the present day:
"For a while, with college going on and being a professional musician, I didn't have time to really pursue the paranormal field as extensively as I wanted to."
It was when Scott L graduated from college that he now had the time to pursue his passion. In the age of the World Wide Web, he began surfing the internet for any information he could find on ghosts and hauntings. He was amazed at the (what now seems like little) huge amount of information was out there to read and view. He was even more amazed that people actually went out and collected this information (visiting haunted areas, taking photos, and recording audio). Scott L. was instantly drawn to the study of ghost hunting and began networking with other people interested in this field locally. A short time later Scott L. crossed paths with his co-host Doug Semig in a local ghost hunting group they both had a part in forming.
How did he get into radio though?
"Honestly, I have wanted to do radio for a very long time. I had some downtime from playing music, and it was a something that went through my mind a lot. When I met Doug after doing a lot of ghost hunting and talking about the paranormal, he asked if I wanted to try to do an internet talk show on the subject(s). I jumped at the opportunity."
Today, Scott L. is a familiar voice and presence in the field of the paranormal all over the world. He dedicates the majority of his time outside of his professional life as a UNIX Systems Administrator to Ghostly Talk Paranormal Talk Show and the promotion of the grassroots study of the paranormal as a whole.
“The study of the paranormal has gained a lot of popularity over the last couple of years. Ghostly Talk has enjoyed this growth in notoriety also, but we have not substituted our true interest in this field with the dreams of being celebrities. Like any trend though, I believe things will slow down in the next couple of years and the people who have a true interest in this field and study will still be here!â€
