Sonique des Fleurs began as a trance dj in early 1999, since her EDM roots lie in trance (95-98) and UK garage (circa 1997). But over the past several years her musical tastes have evolved. And now, she has something from virtually every genre in her record collection. House and Trance are what she plays out most, but she’s also been known to throw down a bangin’ Techno set or drop some soulful drum n’ bass every now and then.
Sonique des Fleurs has been rockin’ the dancefloor for 8 years strong, laying down her unique blend of house and trance for crowds up and down the West coast. Her enthusiasm for the scene led her to the Arizona trance collective 100% Natural Groove/ Desert Trance Society, in which she plays a leading role. Her notable career highlights include performances at the Phoenix Festival series of events in the Pacific Northwest, broadcasts online and over the airwaves on Groovetech Radio (Seattle) and Energy Radio 92.7 (Phoenix), recurring appearances at the respected Phoenix-area clubs Myst, Freedom, Sky Lounge, and 702 DWNTWN, as well as acclaimed events such as Acid Reign, Philter, and Earthdance (Tucson). At home in both the club and rave scenes, she has performed alongside National and International DJs John Bishop, BK, DRC, DJ Mea, Woody McBride, D:Fuse, Reid Speed, Radar, Antonio Ocasio, and many others.
In 2003, she began working on her own productions. And in March of 2007, she made her vinyl debut with the Sonique des Fleurs vs. Substation collaborative tracks, "Suckerpunch" and "Dreams May Come" released on Desert Trance Records (www.DesertTranceRecords.com)! Followed by the June 2007 release of her Electro House Remix of Rod Carrillo’s "Arizona Bump". Currently available on Beatport and iTunes. Look for her upcoming solo and collaborative projects to be released later this year!
