*Doersam is the solo works of Dan Hosker.*Dan Hosker lives in South Florida*Occasionally these works use the talents of a few friends.*Dan began experimenting with sound at the age of 8 on two flatbed cassette recorders. Using field recordings, radio broadcasts and various family conversations as fodder, a very naive psychadelic form of Doersams future was born. Unfortunately none of these recordings were ever saved.
Creating flip-book comics, being part the theater at school and a habit of going to the movies alone all contributed to the state of mind that inevitably spawned Doersam.*Doersam began formally making music in 1990*Instant music and Musique Concrete have been the most utilized forms with forays into acoustic folk music and more recently (2001-present) neo-classical composition.*The music of Doersam has appeared in two award winning short films directed by Clifton Childree,who also lives in S. Florida.{She Sank on Shallow Bank(2005) and Something Awful(2006)}.*While attending to his own music (Doersam) Dan has, over the years, been a guitarist in many influential punk, rock and noise bands. As a co-founder and lead guitarist of Holy Terrors, as a second guitarist in seminal noise band Harry Pussy and as leader of two instrumental rock/noise/jazz groups, Aquafly and The Girls Named Lourdis.*Independent Doersam releases include 1999's 'Lacrosse in the Birdhouse Doorway' and 2001's 'Porcupine Petting Zoo'.*Dan has performed and recorded as cellist in the improv/black metal/classikill group '_undrskor' whose debut has recently been released on French record label 'Savage Land'.*Dumbo is another project Dan plays guitar in with drummer/pianist Steve Bristol.
