Welcome to my art gallery, My name is Marc Anthony Cancino, also known as Smerk (RSC RTR LSP) Take the opportunity to read my bio and enjoy the art work.
BIO:
Marc Anthony Cancino was born September 12, 1978 Bronx, New York. Marc first took interest in painting at the age of seven when he tried emulating what he saw in comic books. Living in NY automatically provided an environment that would eventually get him well involved in Graffiti. In 1990 Marc originally adopted the nick name “Smerk”, a name given to him by girls in his Junior High School because of the un-dieing smirk he always had. He spelled it incorrectly purposely, a way of showing uniqueness in any case that someone else might adopt the name over the years.
1991 Smerk began appearing on the walls and surfaces of the Bronx in the form of tags (AKA Graffiti). That same year he met two Hip Hop Graff Artist named Mr. Wiggles, and Pop Master Fabel who inspired Smerk to look further than just doing tags and develop it into a form of art instead of vandalism. Smerk eventually put the two ideals together and began making money doing graffiti style art/paintings “legally” on store fronts.
Over the years Marc Anthony Cancino has taken the original style of Graff, and has transformed it into an urban abstract style. He considers it to be a crossover style art. The name “Out Law Art” was chosen for this site because the roots of Hip Hop Graffiti Art were born thru Vandalism. Many people still do not consider it to be an art form because of its reputation, additionally in many places it is considered to be a crime regardless of the talent or professional turn it has taken to earn its notoriety.
displayed are four paintings. All art/paintings works are Originals ideas and self inspired. After a painting is sold the painting may remain on display on the main page or in the pics link.
I have a great passion for paintings. I only paint when I am truly inspired, art can-not be forced. When I am creating a painting, my soul is being gifted with the ability to flow smoothly and spirtualy. Most times I find it difficult to let go of my paintings and that is why they cost what they cost. There is no real way to describe my paintings, and the pictures do them no justice. Seeing the paintings in person is do doubt a satisfing expierence.
