About Me

I'm a pretty simple person to get to know. I don't open up to just anyone but if I open up to you then you know you're my friend and I will go to the ends of the earth to help you or to just be here for you. We may not agree on everything but if we can accept the differences in each other then we'll always be friends.

I'm pretty uncomplicated. Basically, what you see is what you get. I won't play little games with you the way some do. Instead, you get the real me and if you like what you see or can accept me with all of my flaws then we'll be friends for life. If you can't accept me unconditionally then please don't come around me because I have feelings too. After over 20 years of being judged and hurt by someone I thought was my best friend and just as imperfect as me I won't go down that road anymore with anyone. Please just be my friend or leave me alone. Thank you.

One little known fact that most don't know about me is that my given name is Theresa (the 'h' is silent) and my middle name is Marie. When my sister was little she couldn't say all of that so she called me Reesa Re. Reesy naturally came from that.

Something about me that almost no one knows is that if my Mom would have had her way she would have named me but my Dad insisted that since she named the first baby, my sister Jeris Lynn, it was his turn to name me. He got his way but if he hadn't my Mom was going to name me "JERI-LYNN JEAN". It gets stranger but I won't go into the degrees of separation because I think it would get ridiculous!

I think it is funny but I hope Jerry Lynn doesn't get weirded out by that. lol. He really can't say anything though because if I had been named that it would have been 10 years before he was even born so I would have had dibs on it. On top of that, his given name wasn't Jerry so I know he wouldn't object. ;p Right Jerry?

I'm no artist but what I create comes from my great respect for that individual and I am pleased when others enjoy it enough to borrow it.

writing fan fiction

One thing I have learned from the first time I tried to write was that if I write what I know it sounds so much better than trying to write about things I'm unfamiliar with. This is a quote from Alan Rickman about his screen roles and I believe it fits writing fiction as well because my characters may have bits of me in them and yet they remain their own identities. "You use yourself in everything you do, but at the same time you've got to have a very clear idea of another person. Otherwise I don't see how you can hand yourself over to it."

I would love to meet the wonderful man who gave me the lovely bouquet of white roses but that is not possible though we have met here. Severus, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am deeply touched. Just before they began to lose their blooms I removed one and preserved it in this frame. It is sealed forever in this case to remind me always of your kindness and caring toward me for your friendship is as rare as the white rose is beautiful.

According to popular lore, the white rose means innocence, purity, secrecy, friendship, reverence and humility.

The order of my friends in my top space below is determined thus:

My niece and only family member in myspace. We're very close. Then the two Professors I communicate with in here and who mean quite a lot to me as friends. 'k the first one is very dear to me and the second one is becoming closer to me. Alan is someone I hope to come to know a little though it may take some time. The link to one of my other profiles. My favorite wrestler, dear friend and heir apparent to the famous Cookie Monster fortune, Jerry Lynn and next is his wife, Pam, also a dear friend. Ayelie is my best girlfriend. The next several friends are just that. They are good friends or are on their way to becoming good friends from myspace and other places on line and all mean the world to me. A few I have met in person and I love them to pieces! There are some fan sites in there too but I've become friends with some of the great people who own them so they are just as important to me. Oh and of course, my little Perry girl.

I have changed my settings so that anyone who does not know my last name or my e mail address will not be able to request an add from me. They may write to me and introduce themselves and after looking over their profile and talking to them I may decide to approve their request. I may not but that's my prerogative and I stand by it. I won't say it's nothing personal because it is very personal to me and I am one who fiercely guards my interests and those of my friends. I just find it disturbing to receive requests from people who seemingly have nothing in common with me so they have to explain it to me first.
