Shannon Saunders creates a commanding yet warm stage presence that effortlessly arises from her exceptional fiddling, and rich and intriguing voice. While performing her original blend of contemporary bluegrass and roots music, Shannon Saunders is a captivating performer.Shannon is a talented multi-instrumentalist who has been playing professionally, on tour and as session player, since 1995. Her work with The Paperboys, one of Canada’s impressive roots bands, earned her a Juno Award and two West Coast Music Awards.As experienced performers and teachers, the band members are always popular at festivals, often conducting workshops when not performing. The Splinters have appeared at the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts, Last Chance Bluegrass Festival, The Alaska State Fair and The Harrison Festival of the Arts among others.Shannon Saunders & The Splinters have released two CD’s, the latest being Cold November in 2004.
