Marit the Chaotik

Well, as already stated somewhere else in this awesome my space, my name is Marit the Chaotik Off and on i have been active within the punk scene for about 10 years now. I have been busy doing a distro, tape/cd'r label and i played in a band called Artikel. 2. All these projects came to an end for different reasons. After being nothing more than a consuming, lazy, always complaining punk, for 2 years, i decided it was time to be active again. In my hometown (HEL-levoetsluis) there was a bunker where (mainly) punkbands played. A lot of young kids (around 15, 16 years)came to those show. Hungry for punk. So i decided to write a small fanzine which was mainly punk music orientated and release it everytime there was a punk gig at the bunker. It was written in Dutch. I called the zine 'Chaotik's Revenge' It was a succes if i may say so myself. A lot of people started asking about it, wanted to write stuff for the zine as well and i sold about 50 copies every month. Because there started to be more people involved Chaotik's Revenge became more of a collective. Everybody could write for the zine as long as it was not rascist, homophobic or sexist bullshit. It made me so enthusiastic that i decided i wanted to make a bigger fanzine. I started to interview more bands ( like Amor, Antillectual, OI Polloi, The Shining, To What End and so on), but also started to write more columns (about politics, personal stuff, traveling), reviews, drawnings, poetry, i tried to mix in more political stuff as well and almost everything was written in my (bad) English. I started re-counting and now i have released 3 fanzines. I have no deadlines for releasing a zine. I tried it, but it didn't work. I guess i release around 2 zines a year. I take my time, hehehe! Chaotik's revenge is still a collective, so if you want to contribute to the zine, contact me, i promise i won't bite!
