About Me

The Wee e-Band : the most unbelievable John Otway tribute band experience! Book us NOT to play your venue - just in case we turn up!!!Covering Top 10 artists John Otway and the Big Band , The Sweeney and Eddie and the Hot Rods (but also open to other offers), we start at the top and go downhill fast. We have come to expect particularly enthusiastic audience participation for the chorus of the Sweeney's 'Shut Up'.Our debut CD, recorded at Biggar in Lanarkshire in May 2004, has been kept under wraps for very good reason (it's total crap), but we hope to release a new CD soon, featuring 'Stairlift to Heaven' and 'Attractive to Few'. Our annual rehearsal is planned for some time soon and will involve copious quantities of alcohol. The current, mainly talent free line-up is: Ed - lead vocals; Andy - lead guitar; Simon - rhythm guitar; Guy - bass; Ali - drums; Patsy - vocals, glockenspiel, tambourine; Janie - fiddle; Sandy - occasional fiddle. Meanwhile, our trusty road manager Geoff gets the pints in and helps keep the fans at bay. Read all about us in our band blog .
