About Me

The Electric Jellyfish originated in the Chicago land area in 1985. They are led by Marq Johanson on Guitar and Vocals. Joining Marq are long time Friends Bill Wheat on Bass and Stevie Saricos on Drums. The Jellyfish played till 1990 around the Midwest.In 1990 The Jellyfish split up and went in seperate directions. Marq went on to play with The Lec Zorn Project opening up for Asia and playing local festivals and Sci Fi conventions around the Midwest. Marq also performed music for the movie "Incredible Fire" an Indie film.Bill and Stevie went on to put together Diamond Back an all cover classic rock band, then an all original Southern Rock band called Tongue ’n’ Groove. They have opened up for Molly Hatchet and have played the local club circuit around the Chicago land area. Then in 2002 they put together The Whiskey Biscuits an all cover Southern rock band.In June 2005 Marq, Bill and Stevie reunited to put back together The Electric Jellyfish. They are currently playing the local clubs in and around Northwest Indiana amazing audiences with their covers of Jimi Hendrix. The Jellyfish also play their own original material, Tunes from The Beatles, Cream and older blues tunes from B.B. King, Elmore James, Muddy Waters and The Yardbirds. The have had their material played on Various college radio stations such as WILL - F.M. 90.9 - University of Illinois- Urbana.This 3 Piece comes together to deliver a high energy show that transcends time
