"The best bits of The Stones, The Stripes and The Stooges...STUNNING!
Lovely, heavy, fuzzy songs nodding towards The White Stripes and The Rolling Stones, performed with slurry, sulky vocals, insolent swaggers and nasty growly antique guitars being elegantly massacred. - Venue Magazine
FIGMENT, 3 guys, 3 instruments, 3 words - Rock and Roll.
A sound which is at once timeless and all their own.
No scenes, no clever genres, no gimmicks. Just honest music.
Perhaps that is their gimmick.
"When did 'Rock' become a dirty word?" they ask.
The word isn't dirty, but the music is. A visceral, thrilling mix of all that was good about The Stones, The Stooges, The Sonics and The MC5 and all that is good about The White Stripes, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Queens Of The Stone Age and Blues Explosion. Spiky blues riffs wrap around a rhythm section that actually grooves. Words of youthful world-weariness. Deft musicianship behind the punk rock clatter.
Contradictons.
Perhaps that is their gimmick.
