Writing lyrics and poetry, screaming, singing, reviewing gigs (want me to write for you? Just ask!), kazoo parping, real ale, cooking, corsets, fine wines, watching my friends' bands, popular culture essays, all things Japanese, 1920s clothing, photography, tattoos, dancing like I'm on fire, cretting about, watching bands, late-night expeditions with the Thermos, stargazing, fetish clothing, stuff to do with cats, answering online surveys, eyeliner, candlewax, sleeping, tomfoolery, Bizarre magazine, everything about Tim Burton, TV parties, drunken Mortal Kombat tournaments, shenanigans, Popcorn Chicken, indulging my God complex for hours on Sims 2, playing bass/guitar very badly, air-drumming, Fruit Allsorts, Haribo Starmix, squash, mischief, making new friends, hugs and kisses from my existing friends (if we cross paths don't be shy, show me some love!)
I'm sure there's probably more but that'll cover it for now.
Anyone else whose approach to life is to run screaming through adversity will be welcomed.
Awesome bands - expect to find 'em here! (but don't be spamming me and begging that I check out your band - if I like your music, I'll find you in my own sweet time)
Lovely people.
Real ale fanatics.
Old friends.
New friends.
Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt so I could present them with a big trophy that simply states "GENIUS" (and then ravish the pair of them).
Terry Wogan, who should be President of the world.
Ray Mears because he's a clever survival genius.
The YouTube Goddess Bunny.
I like music that makes your bowels feel loose. On quieter days, I'm partial to most classical and opera, and lounge jazz.
Seven, Gone With The Wind, The Silence Of The Lambs, Blue Velvet, Ichi The Killer, Visitor Q, Battle Royale, House of 1000 Corpses, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, American History X, Toy Story, Zoolander, Anchorman, Carrie, Misery, the Addams Family films, the Saw films, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, The Exorcist, Top Gun, anything Tim Burton, Hicksploitation films (Deliverance etc), anything that's likely to give me nausea or nightmares.
Comedy - Little Britain, I'm Alan Partridge, The Mighty Boosh, Green Wing, The League Of Gentlemen, Shameless, Kath & Kim, Bottom, Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran (but only in Black Books, his stand-up frankly sucks), Alan Davies, Ross Noble, Seinfeld, Eddie Izzard, Ren & Stimpy, Human Remains, The Day Today, anything slightly sick and darkly funny.
Real life - Cops, Street Crime UK, A Life Of Grime, anything involving Louis Theroux or Donal McIntyre. And for some odd reason I'm deeply fascinated with programmes about football hooliganism - don't ask me why, but I love shows like 'Real Football Factories' and those undercover secret-camera ones that infiltrate hooligan groups.
Super-gory horror, thrillers, and erotica.
American Psycho (Easton Ellis), Black House(King/Straub), Misery (King), Haunted (Palahniuk).
Away from the violent stuff, I love Rudyard Kipling's original Jungle Book series, and The Kitchen God's Wife by Amy Tan.
Janis Joplin, Otep Shamaya, Agnete M. Kirkevaag, Tairrie B, Candace Kucsulain, Kyo, Davey Havok, Mike Patton and James Hetfield - all amazing vocalists & frontpersons.
Louis Theroux because he's fearless, ultra-intelligent and frankly looks awesome in glasses.
Dr Statham from Green Wing because he is pure genius, and Alan Partridge for his concrete balls and saying whatever the hell he wants.
