About Me

The Story:
Nottingham may be home to an astonishing level of gun crime, but the city also gave life to five incredible individuals...
As Josiah Van Wilder came across Robert Milton in the second year of their time at the West Bridgford School, they realised they were not so different. They both enjoyed the music of today and yester-year and found this too much of an influence to keep quiet. Joss and Rob formed a band with a fellow school friend and began making music.
Two years prior to this, at the end of primary school; England was given a break from Lawrence Cole as he set off for Chile due to work in the family. Year 9 joyfully saw the return of Lawrence Cole and a newly formed hairstyle previously demonstrated by a bloke in the 'Fosters' advert, this quickly gained Lawrence the name ' Trev ' which has stuck ever since. Trev shared the common interests of Rob and Joss , and had also learned the trade of Jazz early on the Saxophone, as had Rob on the trumpet.
Three musicians... there was only one thing they lacked. A drummer. Local parties saw old friends meeting and new discovered, it was at one of these events that Trev stumbled upon former Greythorn Primary School student Lawrence Libor . Lawrence was a classically and modern trained actor, and tap dancer who strived to achieve all in his power. Later on in life he met Rob , and Lawrence 's ability to play the drums "like a mad Motherfucker!" was revealed, as was his ability to appear "Fresh off the beach" .
Then, one day Joss was ice skating in Bulgaria when he came across a small blonde dead person named Rob . This caused much confusion as there was already a Rob in the band, so they swiftly renamed him Paul after capturing him in a small white net and bringing him back to England.
In an incredible clash of influence ranging from The Jam and The Smiths all the way through to Mystery Jets and The Futureheads; Dog Is Dead deliver you an original blend of harmonious, indie-pop in the disco, with a cheeky jazz hint you only dream about. This is the sort of sound you'd expect from Louis Armstrong lost at the disco! With glorious pop tunes that will stay in your head for hours, Dog Is Dead presents themselves to you.
