About Me

PMP is run by Miranda Cook, who divides her time between gaining positive press profile for her clients and freelance journalism. A teenage wild child, she left school at 14 with no qualifications, and so was somewhat surprised to find herself as a Trainee Reporter at The Sunday Times aged 21.
She kept it quiet but her heart belonged to the dancefloor, so when the opportunity to freelance for the dance music bible Mixmag arose in 1996, she jumped.

After visiting more than 100 clubs each year, she landed the coveted position of Clubs Editor - which basically meant going to even more clubs, but in a BMW.
In 2000, Miranda announced that she was off to Ibiza for the summer and a long-overdue rest. A stint at Sheffield superclub Gatecrasher followed, where she helped to market a festival for 40,000 people, ran the company's website and even staged her own hilarous but short-lived hard house night, Rawkous, at Gatecrasher's sister venue, Bed.
Returning to London, Miranda decided to investigate the world of PR and within six months was managing projects for SonyBMG, Universal, Warners and the account of Radio 1 DJ, Judge Jules. 2006 saw her turn freelance again, writing and sub-editing for The Sun Online, thelondonpaper and Mixmag and co-ordinating a press campaign for Judge Jules' Ibiza club, Judgement Sundays.
Now with a carefully selected client list Miranda enjoys promoting people and organisations who feel as passionate as her about the world of dance music: if you believe in it, you can make it happen.
