Peter Jadinge: Born Sweden 1958, Living with wife and child on the island of Portland, UK. ++++++++++++++ During the eighties when he was working as a full time social service volunteer for Ananda Marga he came across the songs of P R Sarkar. Mr Sarkar was a well known philosopher and movement leader, and wrote more than 5000 songs, choreographing many of them as well. Divyendu has spent the last ten years or so interpreting these songs in English and Swedish from their original Bengali. The songs are meditative without being spaced out, and prepare ones mind perfectly for meditation. ++++++++++++++ "In connection with Poetry & Jazz, a weekly event at Covent Garden’s Poetry Café in London, Peter first came to my attention as a talented and unusual ‘floor’ performer. He had made English translations of a seminal Bengali poet , set his love poems for guitar and voice and performed them. This may sound esoteric in the extreme, but in fact the results were accessible, hauntingly beautiful pieces."
