About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

WWW.HUON.ORG The Huon Valley Environment Centre is a not-for-profit, grassroots, volunteer run organisation that campaigns for the protection of Tasmania's threatened wild places. Our office is in Huonville, in the Huon Valley, 40 minutes south of the capital of Tasmania, Hobart. We have an eco-shop, office space, information racks, social space, library and gardens. We regularly hold fundraiser events such as movie and slide nights, music gigs, a yearly forest/free festival, and information forums. We also have an active artists' group - The Black Sassy Collective, who hold exhibitions in Tasmania and the mainland to help highlight environmental issues in Tasmania. Click here to download a great 'What You Can Do' booklet. http://www.huon.org http://www.blacksassy.org ..
