About Me

“A song that endures, that stands the test of time, with lyrics that are relevant and sometimes rhyme,” is just a taste of some of Sharon Von Fange’s originally penned lyrics. She is a songwriter, singer and instrumentalist (piano, guitar, flute, melodica, penny whistle, bass) with a love for music and those who create and make music. Sharon’s musical experience spans over 30 years of performing as a soloist and in bands, musical ensembles, orchestras and choirs, as well as teaching music. She is currently a member Musicians & Songwriters Guild of SC. You just might find her at one of Columbia’s local Open Mic nights trying out her latest song, jamming with other local musicians, learning more about ProTools or using her talents to serve at Northeast Presbyterian Church."My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music." Psalm 57:7Songwriting Awards: Honourable Mention 2007 Singer/Songwriter Awards (wearelistening.org), Saluda Shoals Through the Eyes of Art 2007, 3rd Place 2008 Showcase Promo Songwriting Competition, "A Place for Us" chosen to celebrate the May 2008 Grand Opening of the Palmetto Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, SC.
