Singer/songwriter, Clare Reynolds has a unique quality that’s hard to find. Her natural raw voice carries a calm sweetness that makes you follow every emotionally heartfelt and intense word that she sings. She shows a vulnerability that takes you on a journey inside her head.Clare’s musical influences come from many styles. Her favorite artists include, Shawn Colvin, Alison Krauss, Ben Lee, Crowded House, The Flood, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Coldplay, Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell. The list goes on and on. Her broad and open minded love of music may be why her music is hard to define. Whatever the case may be, Clare’s songs are fresh and unique.Clare grew up in Noosa, a small beach-side town on the east coast of Australia. At the age of 17, she studied classical voice at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Struggling to find her way she began to write her own music as a type of therapy. These days she writes constantly. Melodies and lyrics seem to just pour out.After graduating Clare began gigging around Brisbane, (her new home town) and for the last 18 months has been recording her first album. This has proven to be a huge undertaking that seems like it’s taken forever, but finally it's all coming together. Music is now Clare's full time quest. It seems there is nothing in life she'd rather be doing.
