Rock and Roll Fantasy!

About Me

Shelly Knight and the Livin' Dead are an original classic rock-style band from Austin, Texas. Fronted by vocalist/song-writer Shelly Knight, who has been a D.J. for over half her life, working in markets such as New Orleans, Lubbock, and Austin, Texas. She joined The South Austin Gospel Choir in 1998, honing her skills in singing gospel and blues. Shelly combines her love for gospel and classic rock in a style that's all her own. In 2001 she released a CD, with now bass player Eric Leikam, called "Soulride". The CD received critical acclaim and radio airplay both in the U.S. and in Europe, lauching the Right-On! Records label. In 2006 Shelly Knight and the Livin' Dead released their self-titled debut CD, which has also received smashing reviews and is now available at CD-Baby .

For booking information, please check out our electronic press kit to find out more about the band. The new CD called "II," and will be available in Waterloo Records in Austin and coming soon to itunes and CD baby.
