Since opening in September of 2007, the Green Dragon Bistro & Brewpub has anchored what we like to call Libation Alley, a 13-block area that boasts two other breweries and three distilleries (including the one that shares a building with us)...and there's another distillery on the way.
We have 19 constantly rotating taps featuring a selection of the finest local, national, and international craft beers. Don't expect a "greatest hits" list of the flagship brands you can find at every other pub in town. We have the most eclectic and obscure draft list in PDX. We also have a bottle list that we are quite proud of.
Our menu steers clear of standard pub fare like burgers and fish and chips in favor of beer-friendly foods such as mussels with frites and a cajun meatloaf sandwich.
On the liquor shelf, you won't find the familar faces of Jack, Jose and Johnny, but you will find artisan-distilled offerings from Integrity Spirits, House Spirits, New Deal, Indio, Rogue, Clear Creek and more.
Our motto? Expect the unexpected. We take our name from a famous tavern/coffeehouse in Boston called the Green Dragon, where Paul Revere and the Sons of Liberty planned the Boston Tea Party and set in motion the American Revolution. We're out to revolutionize the Portland pub experience.
