Life is good!...now if I could just make a living!

About Me

Music has been my obsession, (or curse, depending on how you look at it), since the age of eight, when my parents gave me my first guitar. I've been very fortunate to have shared the stage with some of my musical heroes over the years, having opened shows for; Rick Derringer, Meat Loaf, Foghat, Molly Hatchet, Gary U.S. Bonds, The Outlaws, Pat Travers, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Head East, Vixen (yeah, THAT Vixen), The Guess Who (one of my favorite shows), Black Oak Arkansas, and former BOA lead singer Ruby Starr's band, Grey Star! (Ruby is sorely missed here in Wisconsin since she was taken from us back in '95). All experiences that I'll never forget. I started out locally playing lead with a band called Neptune that eventually morphed into Stormbringer, an excellent band that landed two tracks on WAPL's "Apple Cellar Tapes" compilation album, (remember vinyl?), back in the early '80's. After doing a few hard years of road work out west, I returned to Wisconsin to form Final Shot, who did many of the opening spots mentioned above. Then, after another adventure out west with Final Shot, I returned to form Axl Halftime, who had a good long run and recorded a self titled CD of my original material. Some of the tracks in my profile are from this CD. The electric version of The Dedication Blues was recorded with Axl Halftime as well, but this incarnation of the band features our amigo, former Molly Hatchet guitarist, Jake Rutter on guitar. I've spent the last few years with The BlueCats out of Green Bay.

I'm currently doing a lot of acoustic shows as a duo with various friends on percussion and vocals. Ted Skenandore, drummer for Final Shot and The BlueCats, (and a local celebrity in his own right), does most of the shows with me, but on occasion, my friends, Hud (drummer for Axl Halftime, Stormbringer and Neptune), and Mitch (one of the best friends anyone ever had and a talented percussionist/vocalist), will come out and play too. Making music with my friends...what could be better? I've included one acoustic track here, the unplugged version of The Dedication Blues. No percussion on this one, but it's a sample of what I do. I have more material available for download on my website, so please check it out when you can!

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my songs. Let me know what you think and come out and party with me and my friends sometime! We do have ourselves a good time!

Later!
