Zeus aka Da Hungry Lyon

Born in Plantation, Florida on February 16, 1987 ( Jairzinho Roxroy Grant)Zeus aka Da Hungry Lyon moved to St. Mary Jamaica at the age of three tolive with his grand parents for a year and a half and attended Burey BasicSchool in Clonmel Jamaica. After returning to South Florida he retained anabundance of his families culture and language which stays with himeverywhere he goes to this day. In middle school while playing AmericanFootball for physical education a classmate said man it takes like ten peopleto bring you down when you have the ball im gonna call you hercules onsecond thoughts Zeus since you have a Z in your name and it stuck till thisvery day it was also in middle school that Zeus wrote his first song at the ageof twelve writing a remix to a Juvenile song he saw on BET and classmatesliked it but he decided to focus on his grades Attending High School atBlanche Ely High in Pompano Beach, Florida in an English class poems whereassigned for the class and zeus scored high marks for all his poems in theclass and the teacher informed him that he should take part in a poetrycompetion for the summer in Washington D.C. but Zeus choose to beginVarsity Football training instead however on the off seasons he woulddevelop his freestyling skills in class at home and in Jamaica Zeus possesthe ability to freestyle in Patois the native language of Jamaica or in Englishback and forth for hours or at least until he loses his voice Zeus has gottenpositive feed back from Kevin Lyttle and Marcia Griffiths and Has done achorus for Lady-L a reggaeton artist and Had the opportunity to hang outduring a studio session with a rapper named Addassi from the B.O.E clickand Brisco from the 305 whom has done songs with Lil Wayne and Rick Rossto name a few and he is currently signed with Cash Money Records Zeusbrings high energy and diversity to every track with lyrics ranging from thetopic of love conscious lyrics clean hip hop flow or songs to make you feelgood and have fun Music has always been a way of life for Zeus he attendedA.S.M. music school where he began taking up keyboard/piano lessons at theage of seven years old and took part in music festival competitions at theDoral and The Radisson Hotel in Miami for many years where he recievedmany trophies throughout competitions in the catagory of solo, duet, and popsolo finishing anywhere from first to fifth against a large amount of studentscompeting throughout South Florida annually up until he was the age ofthirteen now he plays by air duplicating the cords of songs that he hearsbeing played on the radio whether it be hip hop, r&b, or reggae on his sparetime in addition to structuring musical cords for future songs This 20 yearold has always written passed his years and you can hear that in every songLastly the meaning behind the name HungryLyon comes from his desire to be Hungry for music and he lives off a streetcalled Lyons Road.
