About Me

KTC Jacksonville is a Tibetan Buddhist Practice Center of the Karma Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddha Dharma. KTC Jacksonville is an affiliate center of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, the North American seat of His Holiness the Seventeenth Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje.Founded in June of 1986 by the Venerable Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, Abbot of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra monastery, Karma Thegsum Choling Jacksonville operates under the spiritual guidance of Ven. Bardor Tulku Rinpoche and Ven. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, the resident lamas at KTD.The Kagyu lineage is one of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism & is often called "The Whispered Lineage" because its highest teachings are still passed in an unbroken line from teacher to student since the days of the Buddha. We welcome all those interested in the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism. Our practice center & shrine room are located at 1258 South McDuff Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32205. We are in the Murray Hill/ Five Points Historic District. You may telephone the center at (904) 389-6885. We will return your call as soon as possible. You can also contact us by email at [email protected]
