About Me

The picture is of Kalu Rinpoche who in his previous life as Kalu Rinpoche (1905-1989), founded our Dharma Center in Kauai and many others throughout the world. Kalu Rinpoche was proclaimed by the Dalai Lama as ..The greatest meditator of this century... The resident Lama of the center now is Lama Tashi, an American born Lama, who completed his traditonal 40 month retreat about 20 years ago. The main practice of the center is Green Tara but any requested practice is joyfully taught at the time of class. Come visit soon. Classes at the center are on Wednesday nights and are taught in English with Tibetan Mantras. Very informal. There is no donation expected from those who are unable. There are no previous trainings required to attend meditations. We are Shangpa lineage but invite lamas from all traditions to teach. Lama Tashi believes if you are in class it is because you have already done profound practice in a numerous former lifetimes. Empowerments are given towards the end of class for those who request to recieve them in order to do a deity yoga as a daily practice... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" ..

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

REFUGE PRAYER From this time until the heart of enlightenment is reached I and all sentient beings as limitless as the sky, we take refuge in all the Lama Gurus. We take refuge in all the peaceful symbols of our mandalas; We take refuge in all the Buddhas; We take refuge in all the teachings of the Dharma; We take refuge in all the Sangha on the Bodhisattva path; We take refuge in all the protector symbols in their mandalas possessing the wisdom eye of knowledge. In the Buddha Dharma and Sangha I take refuge until I reach enlightenment. By the merit of the practice of generosity, morality, patience, diligence, meditation and the development of wisdom, may I achieve Buddhahood for the benefit of others.THE 4 IMMEASURABLE WISHES May all beings have happiness and the cause of happiness by my having loving kindness. May all beings not have suffering and the cause of suffering by my having great compassion, Bodhichitta.May all beings never be without the supreme bliss which is free from all suffering; the result of meditation practice. May all beings live in the Great Equanimity which is the stabilization of the emotions of attachment, aversion, delusion, pride and jealousy because of my loving and caring for them.
