Angelo Andrea Fumarola nasce a Venezia l'8 Agosto 1976 e sin dai primi anni dimostra una spiccata sensibilità per la musica, crescendo in un ambiente familiare che gli permette quotidiani ascolti a base di rock grazie alla ricca collezione di dischi di suo padre, fan del rock'n'roll e in particolare di Elvis Presley.
Nel 1985 Angelo si trasferisce con la famiglia a Lecce, città del Salento, Puglia sud.
A 11 anni impara da autodidatta i primi accordi su pianoforte e tastiera con l'ascolto dei dischi come unica scuola, passione ed ispirazione, a 13 anni si innamora della chitarra e sempre da autodidatta inizia a suonarla affascinato dalle radici nere e bianche del rock, spaziando così dal blues al country fino alla loro fusione e contaminazione.
E' blues lo spirito e l'approccio con cui Angelo si accosta alla chitarra e i primi guitar-heroes sono i bluesmen Albert King, Eric Clapton, J.J.Cale tra gli altri ma anche quelli di estrazione country-rockabilly come i chitarristi di Elvis, James Burton e Scotty Moore.
Moltissimi sono i musicisti che nel tempo hanno influenzato la sua sensibilità e suo il gusto, tra i quali i Dire Straits hanno un posto molto speciale: ascoltando i loro dischi dal 1990, Angelo diventa un loro grande fan e assorbe con passione e naturalezza la tecnica "finger style" del loro leggendario chitarrista-leader Mark Knopfer.
Nel 1995 Angelo decide di formare una band così in estate sale sul palco di un Festival Rock locale come chitarrista solista/cantante accompagnato da suo fratello Dario Fumarola al basso e l'amico Gabriele Giannuzzi alla chitarra ritmica, sotto il nome di "Rocking Fingers".
La band nel corso degli anni vede frequenti cambi di batterista e inizia a suonare nel circuito locale dei pubs dal 1998 fino a quando finalmente nel 2001 entra in formazione Antonio Marra, batterista professionista noto per importanti progetti ed esperienze live e in studio.
Con la stabilità di formazione raggiunta i Rocking Fingers si fanno apprezzare sempre più con un repertorio di cover varie di rock-blues & country-rock fino ad avviare il progetto "Dire Straits Tribute Band", che riscuote innumerevoli consensi e commenti entusiasti provenienti da tutta Italia e dall'estero da moltissimi fans del 'sound knopfleriano'.
Come "Dire Straits Tribute Band", tra l'altro unica in Puglia, i Rocking Fingers sono considerati una delle migliori in circolazione, grazie alla solidità sonora di tutta la band e al tocco emozionante di Angelo riconosciuto come il "Mark Knopfler del Salento", stimato dalla comunità di colleghi chitarristi che amano questo stile e in generale la buona musica rock.
La band è anche presente sul sito ufficiale inglese (www.mark-knopfler-news.co.uk) e sul forum italiano (www.dire-straits.it) di MK.
Il chitarrismo di Angelo si fa notare e si distingue per tocco, feeling, gusto e non solo nel suo progetto tribute: i suoi concerti nei pubs e nelle piazze infatti fanno sì che viene coinvolto in collaborazioni sia in ambito rock, blues, country, folk, pop, invitato da musicisti e bands del circuito salentino con cui entra in contatto e condivide momenti sul sul palco in concerti, manifestazioni e jam sessions.
Inoltre ha fatto collaborazioni extra regionali: nel 2006 i Rocking Fingers partecipano ad un concerto del "Private Investigations Promo Tour" assieme alla tribute band romana Solid Rock per promuovere il CD "Dire Straits - The Very Best Of"; nel Febbraio 2007 suonano al Totem Village di Velletri (Roma) insieme alle altre tribute bands Solid Rock e Alchemyband (tutte hanno ricevuto il ringraziamento ufficiale sul sito inglese di Knopfler) in occasione dell'evento benefico "MK Children Aid" a favore di Amnesty International che ha visto la presenza di Chris White (sassofonista dei Dire Straits) come super ospite d'onore e il grande chitarrista blues italiano Paolo Bonfanti, i quali hanno espresso grande apprezzamento per la performance di Angelo e la sua band.
E così Angelo continua a suonare, a riceve complimenti e richieste di collaborazione e al momento sta preparando altri progetti.

Angelo Andrea Fumarola was born in Venice on 8th August 1976 and since his eartly years he showed a strong feeling for the music, growing up in a family environment that let him daily listenings based on rock thanks to the huge records' collection of his dad, a fan of rock'n'roll and particularly of Elvis Presley.
In 1985 Angelo and his family moved to Lecce, city of Salento, south Puglia. At 11 years old he learnt the first chords on piano and keyboards with the listening to records as main school, passion and inspiration, at 13 he fell in love with the guitar and always as a self taught he started to play it enchanted by the black and white roots of rock, thus moving from blues to country up to their fusion and contamination.
Angelo's spirit and approach to guitar is mainly blues and his first guitar-heroes were the bluesmen Albert King, Eric Clapton, J.J.Cale amongst the others, but also the ones country-rockabilly oriented such as Elvis' guitarists James Burton and Scotty Moore.
There are many musicians who have influenced his feeling and musical taste through the years, amongst them Dire Straits are very special: listening to their records since 1990, Angelo became a big fan of theirs and he adsorbed with passion and naturalness the "finger style" tecnique of their legendary guitarist-leader Mark Knopfler.
In 1995 Angelo decided to form a band so during summer he went on stage as guitarist/lead singer backed by his brother Dario Fumarola on bass and friend Gabriele Giannuzzi on rhythm guitar, under the name of "Rocking Fingers".
Through the years the band saw frequent drummer changes and they started to play in the local live pubs circuit since 1998 until finally in 2001 Antonio Marra entered the lineup, a professional drummer known for important projects, live and studio experiences.
Since the reached lineup's stability, Rocking Fingers have been appreciated always and always playing a repertoire of rock-blues & country-rock covers up to the start of the project "Dire Straits Tribute Band" which received countless general consents and enthusiastic comments coming from Italy and foreign countries from many fans of the 'knopflerian sound'.
As a Dire Straits tribute band, by the way unique in Puglia, Rocking Fingers are considered one of the best ones around, thanks to the solid sound of all the band and to the exciting touch of Angelo known as a kind of "Mark Knopfler of Salento", well regarded by the community of guitarists colleaugues who love this style and the good rock music in general.

The guitar playing of Angelo is well known and it distinguish itself by touch, feeling, taste and not only in his tribute project: his concerts in the pubs and the squares in fact let Angelo be involved in collaborations in rock, blues, country, folk, pop situations, invited by musicians and bands of the local scene in Salento with whom he share moments live on stage in concerts, events and jam sessions.
In addition he did extra regional collaborations: in 2006 Rocking Fingers took part to a concert of the "Private Investigations promo tour" with Solid Rock, tribute band from Rome, in order to promote the CD "Dire Straits - The Very Best Of.."; in February 2007 they played at the Totem Village in Velletri (Rome) with other tribute bands Solid Rock and Alchemyband (everyone received the official thanks on Knopfer's english website) on the occasion of the benefit event "MK Children Aid" in aim of Amnesty International that featured the presence of Chris White (saxophone player of Dire Straits) as a super special guest and the presence of great Italian blues guitarist Paolo Bonfanti, they all expressed big appreciation for the performance of Angelo and his band.
So Angelo keeps on playing, receiving compliments and requests of collaboration and he is currently preparing other projects.
