UPRIGHT CITIZENS BRIGADE ARE RELEASING SEASON 2 ON DVD SEPTEMBER 18, 2007
In honor of the season two release the Upright Citizens Brigade are holding a contest.
We challenged you to write and record a song inspired by Season Two of the Upright Citizens Brigade. These songs can be about any characters, scenes or premises from Season Two. These are the finalists.
VOTING IS OFFICIALLY OVER.
We will announce what "UCB's Most Cherished Possession" is late this week or early next week.

WINNER
Max Heath - "Grand Master Dialectitian"
This was our first submission and turned out to be the best. Most specific funny lyrics working beautifully and subtly with the music. This song sounds like Postal Service. Listening to the other tracks on his MySpace he is in a league with Ben Lee, Ben Folds, Ben Kweller and all the other Bens too. Check out his band Toca.
RUNNER UP
Kill Fuck - "U.C.B. BITCH!!!"
Best flow lyrically by far. This is our battle song even if it isn’t the winner. Definitely will be used to intro some ASSSSCAT's cause this gets the crowd goin' bitch!

Jewish Dave - "Super Cool"
Maybe the most commercial of the submissions and good in that way for that reason.
UCB rolls in Vegas with JD!
Don't Think - "A Tribute to Titté"
Also great use of samples. Song is almost as annoying as the Titte Brothers, and I mean annoying in a good way. Boobies!

Sing along man…it’s UCB hippie music.

Some of the best lyrics in the contest for sure!

Cunhaband - "Down to One Idiot"
Check out their song The You Boat (“Alvin!”) on their MySpace. I really like this band.
Doom Dub - "Earthquake Party Tonight!"
This should be the song of the summer. Put your dancin’ shoes on. Perfect earthquake party music. Throw your throwing stars up in the air like you just don’t care! But seriously kids, earthquake parties aren’t cool. They’re dangerous.
How I Became Invisible - "Perfect Hair"
This is their version of a Japanoi Tretching song. Nice.
Flavo Bleako
This song of course references the most tragic of all monsters, the Country Lobster Magomra. Lots of cool sampling, reminded me of the weirder trippier Bongwater stuff. I’d like to hear more by this band and you can at their MySpace.
The Unit Shifters - "Supercool UCB"
This most sounds like the kind of band that I listen to on a regular basis. They have a Jesus Lizard meets Grifters meets Dragoon kind of sound to them. Love it. These guys will be around for a while.
Buy the People “Spirituality Expo UCB”
Captain Beefheart jammin. Good references. Some of the best lyrics in the contest.
Hexen – "Gonna Kill You"
This was the hardest song in the contest. Death metal take on the guy who wanted to kill his new office mate. Check out the videos this guy.
Handjobs For Hobos – "Mogomra I Love You"
The Ramones of our contest. These guys paid tribute to the greatest monster of all time, the giant country lobster, Mogomra. Check out even better punk songs on their MySpace like "Cliterature".
