He was suposed to be released years ago but due to struggles and bad management his first solo album had to be completely thrown away because of faulty contracts, but now HES BACK FOR THE PUBLIC AND THE WORLD! WITH NEARLY 6 ALBUMS including Group projects and a solo album!!! get ready for the new wave.Cali-B was born Brian Williams 4/10/1987 in santa cruz california. Cali grew up in watsonville california, and was the youngest of two sons. Cali always had a passion for music and Started out playing the drumms. After months of saving money and with the help of loved ones, Cali purchased his first keyboard and began learning to produced his own instrumentals. He progressed quickly, and began building a reputation for himself as one of the Best Producers in California.
Although Cali-B's style is Versityle and he refers to it as "Multi coasteral" his roots and biggest influences are from the west coast.
By the age of 15, he was winning rap battles and various Freestyle compititions around california. Although he had made many contacts and worked with dozens of artists, it wasn't untile meeting Jonathan polanco (Jonny Rockz) that he had a solid rap partner and together they started banging out songs in cali's home studio. Cali-B and Jonny Rockz are the original Cali-Movement and the first two members of the HollaFame...... Cali-B and Jonny Rockz released "BOMB THREATZ" late 2006 Featuring T-Nutty, Yun-Gun, Goldie Gold of the Federation and more!! with the ecception of two songs the entire album was recorded and mixed by Cali-B. CALI-B'S SOLO DEBUTE "OR YOUR MONEY BACK" IS FINESHED AND WILL BE RELEASED iN 2009 FALLOWING THE RELEASE OF HIS DUO ALBUM Cali-B and Jonny ROckz "URBAN DYNAMICS" which is being released publicly on august 31st 2008 (8-3-1), AND THE RELEASE OF THE HOLLAFAME DEBUTE ALBUM "HOLLAFAMOUS"."HOLLAFAME" Is thE SUPER GROUP. The HollaFame's highly anticipated debute album "HOLLAFAMOUS" is expected to be released late 2008 and will feature some of the games hottest unsigned artists, as well as some of the biggest in the game. Cali-B is a solid member of the Hollafame, aside from being featured on almost every song of the album, he also was the executive producer.
The HOLLAFAME is 11 solo artists from different hoods all over california combined, including:Cali-B, Premo Cardassius, Jonny Rockz, Prospect, Cash Dniro, pistol-P, Young kcaz, Lights Out, Rich Tycoon aka filthy Rich, Mack the Cat, and P- city.
each member of the group has active solo carreers that they're also persuing within Cali-Movement and some outside as well.
Cali-B has worked with artists such as Keak da Sneak, Rich Tycoon, Sean-T, Yukmouth, Goldie Gold (of the federation) Young Droop, Pretty Black (of the Ragime) Chopah (of triple beam) Prince Lefty, Dubie aka sugar wolf pimp (of Thizz) Killa Klump and T-Nutty just to name a few.
He has also performed wIth: Tha Team, Ya Boy, Keak Da Sneak, Young Droop, Tha Trama UnIt, Yun-Gun, Fury, Black BIzness AND MANY MORE!!!!
