Let's Take Our Music Back!

I just have always loved Hip-Hop. I fell in love way, way back when I lived in Cali and I first heard The Message by Grandmaster Flash & Furious Five. I was young, but I would do the Robot and lip all the words. Then I heard "Eric B. is President" by Eric B & Rakim. It was over! I wanted to be an Emcee. I studied the history and listened to any tapes I could get out on the west coast of Kool Herc, D.J. Hollywood, Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash, Grand Wizard Theodore etc... I eventually became a student of that late 80's early 90's Boom Bap Hip Hop... You know, back when Hip-Hop was fun and uncorrupted. Its now known as the Golden Age of Hip Hop from about 86 to 94 (94 is pushing it). Thats where I come from yall Anyway, moving on I moved to Atlanta, Ga. back in 1990 and was determined to make it in the music business. I spent my summers up in Pomona, NJ where I met up with a young Rodney Jerkins. R.J. wasnt the super producer he is today and we had to sneak into his older brothers studio to make my first demo. To make a long story short, R.J. and I lost touch, I fell out of love with Hip-Hop as it started to morph into what it is today, and I joined the military. Thats where I am today, in the US Air Force fightin' wars and making' music to stay sane and one day maybe get me out! Due to my military commitment, most labels dont want to mess with me. So, I plan to release an independent album on my own imprint, Black Inkk Recordings. The album will drop sometime in 2007. If you love that Golden Age Hip Hop, then you will love this album! I'm just trying to bring back some of that creativity we seem to have lost since the Great Hip-Hop Paper Chase began in the mid-90s Thats my story and Im stickin to it!

How do I leave this man a comment??? I don't see an "add comment" link! WTF??
