Alright people. I gotta lead with what got me to this point!
We're building The Flagship! I'm personally excited because this project is about 3 years in the making. The live show has gotten an overhaul as well in the form of The Psyche Orchestra. It's a 7-9 piece live experience complete with visual installment that will impress the die hard PO fan as well as any newcomers. I can't wait to unveil it for you. It can't come fast enough. Check the new logo idea! New website and new merchandise coming soon!
We always have something cooking at Door 44...the job...gotta pay those bills people...don't get caught out there!
First! We're bringing Fridays back! Switching the format just a touch and getting ready for the spring and summer! This Friday check out DJ Synthesis from Psyche Origami doing an exclusive parlor set for you and yours along with longtime resident DJ Danny M holding it down in the main room! Look for nothing but the best music on this night!

My Interests

Band Members: Wyzsztyk...aka...Mr. Wyzard...aka...Luke, I'm your father!
Influences: Alot of early Blue Note and Verve jazz from the late 50's til as late as 1975. Anything after that got watered down in disco and over the top funk. Also...the psychadelic rock and funk of the late 60's and early 70's. It would take a week to dig up the list of artists. Anyone who knows good shit when they hear it knows what I'm talking about. As far as hip hop...there's a handful of producers that come to mind including the late Jay Dilla, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Madlib, Pete Rock, Dj Shadow, RJD2, El-P, and DJ Premier. Anything with depth and soul to it is what I gravitate to.
I'd like to add that I'm making it a personal mission to smash ya'll. That's my purpose. Intro the Kill Trill Music. Menacing yet fun with a hint of effectiveness.
Sounds Like: A collage of sampled and organic sounds placed on a heavily textured canvas then liquified and poured into your ears.
