PAWSITIVELY SPOOKY HALLOWEEN EVENT is based out of Saint Paul, MN. It will be held OCTOBER, 2007. All profits go to benitit the animals of Saint Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue! This will be a family friendly and fun event! ALL AGES AND PETS WELCOME!..The foundation of St. Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue is to rescue and rehabilitate unwanted dogs and cats throughout the community. We work to relieve the pet over population problem by spaying and neutering all companion animals before adoption. We also work to help educate the public on animal welfare and focus on positive people / animal relationships.St. Francis Animal Rescue grew from a desire to go beyond what a traditional shelter could offer. Our organization began by rescuing what most did not want - animals that were deemed as "unadoptable". We have been very successful in placing senior animals and special needs animals in appropriate, loving homes. St. Francis Animal Rescue is unique in another way because we choose to have elective surgeries done on animals to save, or to improve the quality, of the animal's life. These animals otherwise might be euthanized, due to the expense of the surgery. We continue to reach out to educate the public and build support for our programs and act as a positive influence for animal welfare in our community. Our Foster Home Care program has enabled us to grow and evaluate and rehabilitate animals in a home environment that have not succeeded in the traditional shelter setting.We have started a Microchip Identification program for all of our dogs. We continue our aggressive Spay / Neuter program of all animals before adoption, and we are currently in the process of developing a Trap / Spay Neuter / Release program in our community.Our organization depends greatly on the generosity of others to help provide for the homeless and unwanted companion animals in our community. We are very grateful for all of the caring support we have received throughout the years.
