Doug and the Dust Devils play a toe-tappin', foot stompin' brand of original and traditional country music in the honky-tonk style. They have had long-term residencies at Fitzroy's Standard Hotel and St Kilda's Greyhound Hotel, as well as playing many other venues as diverse as the Arts Centre and Pentridge Prison. They are currently playing regularly at the St Kilda Bowling Club . In 1996 they released their debut CD 'You can never go home'. They have played the Tamworth, Portland and Kyneton festivals. Their video of the song 'One More Beer' has received extensive airplay on CMT, as well as being selected by John Nutting of the ABC as the opening song on the 'Saturday Night Country Favourites' CD. Several of Doug's songs have featured in the television shows 'Good Guys Bad Guys' and Stingers. 'One More Beer' will also feature in a forthcoming motion picture. Their last album Trouble Follows Me' reached the finals in three categories at the 2000 Victorian Country Music Awards. Doug and some members of his band appeared in a recent episode of 'Stingers'.
