El Yema

Yamil Hernandez nació en La Habana, Cuba y desde pequeño le metió mano a la guitarra de su hermano Yurién para poner sus primeros acordes y luego componer sus primeros temas.Así siguió hasta la universidad donde estudió para graduarse como profesor de Inglés.Al mismo tiempo conoce a Jorge Luis Robaina y forma parte del proyecto Karaverde.En este comienza a tocar la percusión cubana y recibe clases de timbal con el virtuoso Alexis Herrera(Dinamita) y de bongó y congas con el maestro Tomás Ramos(panga).En el 2002 funda junto a Jorge Luis y Yurién el grupo Kafé con Leche y graba su primer disco "Déjame Volar" en Zaragoza, España.En el 2004 Kafé con Leche pasa a ser Karamba y al año siguiente graba el disco "Mírame" en la Habana.Yamil comparte la producción musical de este con Jorge Luis Robaina y en ese mismo año participó además en la producción musical del album debut del cantautor nicaragüense Richard Loza.En este graba también las percusiones.Bueno, hay un poco más que decir pero mejor lo ven por el camino.DALE QUE YA MONTÓ!!!

Yamil Hernández was born in Havana, Cuba and since very little he took his brother..s guitar to sing and write his first songs.He kept going like this until university where he studied and graduated as a teacher.At That time he met Jorge Luis Robaina and took part in a project called Karaverde.He began playing the cuban percussion and he learned how to play the timbal and the congas with the cuban masters Alexis Herrera(Dinamita) and Tomás Ramos(Panga) respectively.In 2002 he created his first band "Kafé con Leche" toguether with Jorge Luis Robaina and his brother Yurién.They recorded and released their first album "Déjame Volar" in 2003 in Zaragoza, Spain.In 2004 "Kafé con Leche" comes to be "Karamba" and one year later they release the band..s second album "Mírame" in Havana.Yamil shares the musical production with Jorge Luis Robaina and in this same year he produces Richard Loza..s debut album toguether with Jorge Luis and Richard himself.He also played the cuban percussion for this album.Well, there..s a bit more to say, but you better check yourselves.(Fotos del festival del son CUBAGOZA)
