Since I arrived in Washington in august of 2005, My focus with art has been directed towards creating pieces that represent my current mind-set through a surrealistic composition of beauty and melancholy. In my work, I join the overwhelming views of adolescent psychosis and the “mature†with an influential base derived from exposure to San Francisco art and artists. Often times there are underlying stories linking all of my bodies of work which explain the existence of my bubbles and some of the emotions portrayed by the characters in my work.Specific bodies of work that I am working on right now:“Manufacturer of Bubblesâ€- The person that you go to when you want to forget thoughts that are unpleasant or just unwanted. Taking your thoughts and storing them in suspended bubbles. So you are left with these bubbles, a physical representation of the lost thoughts, to taunt you and keep you wondering of what you forgot.“Helmet Seriesâ€- a series of characters with head peaces with a life of their own. Some of my helmets include: Bird head, Elephant helmet, Cat helmet, Lion head and Sail away Swan.
