R.I.P. ECHO PARK PADDLE BOATS:
After 111 years of boating on Echo Park Lake, Parks and Recs have decided to withdraw the rental paddle boats after September 9th, 2007. The park will no longer be the same, and our boating memories will live forever, especially w/ the 1990's Beastie Boys "Netty's Girl" video. (FYI: Netty's is no longer open for business in Silver Lake, either).
It better be really LOUD.
Did I mention I prefer vinyl for audible pleasure?
I'm mostly into directors as a whole. You know like: David Lynch, Pedro Almodovar, Federico Fellini, Stanley Kubrick, Dario Argento, David Cronenberg, Jean Luc Godard, John Waters, the Cohen Brothers, Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Michel Gondry, etc.
....but I'm such a sucker for vintage exploitation flicks, and 1980's horror/slasher films.
I try to avoid TV at all costs (which coincidentally usually averages about $80.00 a month).
I LOVE books.
I hope to one day publish one.
