The site specialized in guerilla entertainment with Cleofus heading up the music side of things with a diverse staff that included Funky Franklin, Cephus P. Nelson, El Servo the Last Pervert, Dr. Buzz Brown and others. The site was controversial and gained prominence arounf the Dirty South before being shut down by the Powers that Be following a crackdown on subversive material after the 9/11 attacks.THE GRASSHOPPER YEARS: my earliest forays into djing began around 1990 with my creation and distribution of the Grasshopper Music Mixtapes showcasing my own evolution with styles as diverse as heavy metal and grunge and my first experimentations into the electronic and dub side of things. Tapes were spread out around the Middle Tennessee region with archivist "the Mon Frere" still in possession of numerous of these very limited single print tapes.
