Just a guy, nothing special. I was born in the desert of California, raised in Orange and Ventura counties with short stays in Oregon and Arizona. Couldn't find a job after college and entered the Army where I worked for military Intelligence before I was medically retired. Parachutes and I don't get along anymore:( Was married to the love of my life who departed too early. Love to work with my hands and my brain, you might find me working on a car, repairing a TV or building a model, playing golf or horse back riding or you might find me writing a story or reading a book.
I love to talk but rarely about myself, I'd much rather listen and add then lead the way. Since I've travelled all over this world of ours I have a lot of tales to tell but you have to ask;) I answer questions honestly, sometime too honestly.
I no longer drink or smoke, I'm an alcoholic and have been dry for over ten years. After my mother, step-father and father died of cancer I quit smoking.
Work too many hours a week for a slave driver of a boss, he can be a real ass, but I love my job. lol I'm a very loyal friend, and I will prove that to those that earn the title good friend. I am a very stubborn person. I can't be pushed to do anything or so I've been told. Very hard to understand and easily misunderstood. I don't think like other guys. I'm a gentleman, meaning I treat everyone with respect and rudeness quickly brings out my anger . I find it difficult to be forward or aggressive, but I am protective of those I care about, very protective. Success is not measured by what you have but by the lives you touch..

Mehen is a Nick I picked up years ago.
Mehen was an old mytholgical serpent which participated in various kinds of texts in Egypt both in a religious and a cosmological context. He was purely good and showed it every day by making way for the sun in the sky being carried by devine bearers. His duty was carried out by waching and preventing all and everything from stopping Re's solar boat in the sky. He could be seen as a man with a head of a serpent carrying a spear and standing in the prow. He could be a snake coiling around the cabin and protected it with his body. Boats and snakes were depicted from the oldest times and when the myth of Re was formed Mehen got a place to fights alongside Set each day and night to protect the journeys of Re. A common enemy was the huge snake Apepos.
