My name is Russell Burke and I was born on May 24th, 1953 in the small town of Oamaru in New Zealand.
My mother was a singer so I come from a musical family.
I gained some of my first experiences with music at the age of 8 years with my uncles band.
Later I created the first touring band with my brother Bill and Alan Rakiraki Called Country Pie. This existed from 1969 - 1971. I went to Auckland at the end of of 1971 with my manager for 2 years.
In 1975 I left New Zealand and went to Australia where I gained a lot of experiance working the Coffee Shop scene playing acoustic (no microphones etc) and learning to work as a studio sound engineer.
I stayed in Australia till Decmber 1989 and managed to get a contract to sing in Austria and lived and worked for 12 years based in Schladming.
Within these 12 years I covered a distance of 930.000 km touring through Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Germany.
Altogether I made over 2.000 shows.
Today I live in Germany in a Western Town called Pullman City Harz where I work as a singer actor and run the Recording Studio (Pullman City Studios)
