Get this video and more at MySpace.comAfter traveling through my early metal head teenage years and facing dysfunctional family problems, I moved in with my pop and stepfamily and gainied there support. I was able to focus on my life and turned towards music. At this time I was 16 years old and Death Metal was just beginning. my favorite bands at that time were Death, Obituary, Carcass, Deicide, and Cannibal Corpse (I still love them all). I was hanging out with my step sister, Tara often. She was friends with this local band that were a huge influence on me called Nocturnal Fear. We all hung out I sung at one of there jams and had a few auditions coming my way . One was with this band called Macabre who changed there name to Mortal Decay. Those times were great I had near 15 years of fun filled memories with those guys of the typical being in a band fun, but times were tough too. Due to personal issues and getting my life straightened out after just graduating tech school, I had to say good bye to mortal in mid 96. I took 2 years off and realized that jamming was still in my blood. Once again I got back into things checking out the underground music scene. At this time the late 90s victory style hardcore metal was hot my favorite bands were Earth Crisis, Hatebreed, V.O.D. , Fury of Five, and Integrity (I still love them all too). My old buddy George from the gas station I use to work at called me up responding to my flyer and letting me know his currant metal band were looking for a new singer and band name. I checked them out they kinda sounded like Pantera, and they were awesome. I made them copies of all my victory records albums told them we gotta play this kind of stuff. I fit lyrics to one of there songs and thought of a name Chopcore, Next thing I know Chopcore was doing great taking over the local South Jersey and Philly scene, then Mortal Decay was having singer trouble too and I went and filled in for one of there sets at this Bad Luck 13, Etown concrete gig in Philly back in '98. It was awesome and we totally kicked ass that night. The mortal guys were kinda impressed next thing I know on top of school I was juggling 2 bands and a girlfriend. I was so busy but it was probably the best time of my life. Things even got better Mortal Invited me to do the vocals on the Forensic album released on Unique Leader Records and Chopcore just got signed to the European label out of Slovakia, Metal Age Productions, they released the Bloody Little Mess album. It was April of 2002 and I had 2 albums come out back to back. Damn it was great! A few months went buy then Chopcore split up our drummer left then I left I was unhappy. We were still paying lots of cash for our practice spot, and I had an opportunity to go back to school, I also did not like the direction of our music and the way hardcore metal was going. I continued to go on with Mortal I did 2 mini tours in the summer of '03 in the USA, and summer of '04 in Canada and the US as well. It got a little rough juggling it around my career and it got rough for mortal to work with my schedule too. In the meantime there were still those personal issues that I left for in 96. Things never really did change. I had to let it go and give it all up for good .It was one of the hardest things to do and it sucked walking into that jam that day and quitting for the second time but I had to do it. Sometimes I wish things were different like I could of went a different career route and we could of ironed out our differences but I guess things happen for a reason so they say. I got into acting in a few underground B movies. I do miss the hell out of playing live, especially the Chopcore gigs. Theres nothing like playing a packed metal or hardcore show. I think about jamming again at times, but then again Im kinda sick of the MP3 world of a music scene these days. Hell I just remember being 13 years with my mullet forming (ahh the 80s) and laying in bed with my headphones on that were the size of two huge coconuts listening to my older brother Joey's Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Van Halen vinyls, dreaming of being in a band someday and witch came true after all ,and you know I actually miss hearing that static of the needle on the record in between tracks on a vinyl. Now recently I moved to FLorida just outside of Daytona, I got a killer job down here that I couldn't refuse. I love it down here. Check out my tunes I got uploaded here. The recordings that I am on are. Mortal Decay Macabre Interment demo from 1991, Then the Dawn of Misery, Grisly Aftermath, Brutalizing Creations demo witch turned out to be The Gathering of Human Artifacts CD from 1992-1999.Mortal Decay Forensic (Unique Leader)in 2002. Chopcore Chain of Violent Acts in 2000/2004. Chopcore - Bloody Little Mess 2002 (Metal Age Productions) The Movies I am in are Bill Zebubs Stereotypes dont just disappear into thin air(2004) and The Worst Horror movie ever made(Apr2005). You can find these releases at the following websites:UniqueleaderMetal Age Productionsblackmetal.comamazonNetflixBill Zebub FilmsI am still willing to come in and do guest backing vocals on any bands recording in the studio. Hell I'm even interested to sing in other side bands too. So if anyone knows of any Death Metal / Hardcore side projects going on please email me here and that goes for any available Acting gigs too. I can't tour and play gigs that much due to work but I still want to make as many albums and movies as i can. Shawn Whitaker from Insidious Decrepentancy,Viral Load, Braced for Nails invited me to do the vocal work for his next project called INEXTRICABLE ENTRAILS (Sevard Records recording artist) . See my blogs for more details and stay alert for future postings too.
